What is Earlobe Revision?
Earlobe revision is a surgical procedure meant to correct unsatisfactory results from previous earlobe repairs, stretched piercings, gauge reversal surgeries, or trauma that healed in an uneven or distorted way. Unlike primary earlobe reconstruction, which often addresses first-time damage, revision surgery focuses on reshaping scar tissue, correcting asymmetry, and restoring a beautifully cohesive contour after a prior repair didn’t fully succeed. The procedure may involve excising dense scar tissue, re-contouring irregular edges, recreating the natural curve of the lobe, or rebuilding missing volume. The goal is to create an earlobe that appears smooth, proportionate, and naturally integrated with the rest of the ear, with no visible signs of prior injury or surgery.
